You can take a tour of the San Juan Islands waterways and tour the ferry serviced islands by the Washington State Ferry! When you purchase your WSF ticket you are paying for a round trip ticket. You pay to go West. Ex: Let's say your going to San Juan Island ( farthest island West) rather than go straight back to Anacortes you would like to visit Orcas Island, there is no charge for using the inter-island WSF (eastbound ) you can get off the ferry at Orcas Island, stay as long as you want on Orcas Island, then get back on any ferry bound for Anacortes or do the same with Lopez Island.
